Angelina Jolie once left Mick Jagger 'virtually sobbing' when she refused his advances in the late 1990s.

Angelina Jolie has had a fair share of men (and occasionally women...) in her past but Sir Mick Jagger has to count among the most famous.

The Maleficent actress, who will soon be Mrs Brad Pitt, once left the legendary rocker sobbing down the phone to her when she refused his advances while they enjoyed an affair in the late 90s.

Angelina had been hired to play a sexy stripper in Rolling Stones' video Anybody Seen My Baby? in 1997, and Mick was said to be enthralled by the beautiful young star - despite the fact that he was married to Jerry Hall at the time.

According to the Daily Mail, Mick Jagger said: 'She scares me a little - I like that.'

Angelina - who was rather married to Brit actor Johnny Lee Miller at the time - was said to be unimpressed by Sir Mick.

Angelina Jolie's family friend Lauren Taines claims that Mick Jagger was 'virtually sobbing' in an answerphone message that he left to try and woo her.

But Angelina was not to be moved - after 1999, she never saw him again.

The Rolling Stones singer counts Carla Bruni, Uma Thurman and Brazilian model Luciana Morad amongst his conquests - but it seems that Angelina Jolie was the one that got away...
