The 'thrilled and overwhelmed' actress confirmed her happy baby news today
‘Thrilled and overwhelmed’ Britain’s Got Talent Judge Amanda Holden has confirmed she is expecting her second child – a baby girl – with hubby Chris Hughs.
Amanda’s happy baby news comes just six months after the actress was left devastated by the stillbirth of her baby boy, seven months in to her pregnancy.
Today, the glowing starlet – who’s thought to be around three-months pregnant – said she was ‘beyond thrilled’ to announce she was expecting again.
‘Chris and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl,’ Amanda said in a statement.
She continued: ‘The first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult for us. We would like to thank everyone for their support, it has been so incredible and we really are beyond thrilled to share this news.’
And friends reveal the actress – who has confirmed she will be leaving her role in Shrek the Musical two months early – is already taking it easy.
‘Amanda was adamant they would try again after the tragedy of losing their little boy, and doctors will be keeping an extremely close eye on her,’ the pal revealed. ‘She is under the best possible medical care.’
Following Amanda’s news, it was announced that Girl Aloud Kimberley Walsh will step into Amanda’s shoes as Princess Fiona in the West End musical.
