Hear hear, Adkins
While the rest of the world went crazy for Lemonade – that Bey surprised dropped on us two weeks ago, we were all too busy questioning who ‘Becky with the good hair’ was, and how much of the album was really about Jay Z, for us to notice that other pop powerhouse Adele hadn’t said anything about the visual album.
But fear not, as Adele has spoken, and the word is good.
Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old singer posted a picture of herself next to a poster for Bey’s 2006 hit Irreplaceable, saying that she was ‘speechless’ and Bey’s talents were in a ‘league of their own.’
She commented: ‘I’m not late on this I’ve just been speechless. Beyonce is the most inspiring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of worshipping. Her talent, beauty, grace and work ethic are all in a league of their own. I appreciate you so much! Thank god for Beyoncé X’
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Adele.
In the past there have been rumours that Beyoncé had asked Adele to duet with her, but was turned down. Adele recently responded hilariously to this in typical Adele fashion, and claimed that Bey was the priority in her life.
‘Whoever started that rumour must have been having a laugh,’ she said. ‘Because anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyoncé.’
OK, we’re just going to put this out there now so we can say, ‘We told you so’ in the future, but we really think that Bey and Adele will surprise us with a single before the end of the year. We’re like, psychic.
