The Gossip Girl has divulged why she ditched her signature blonde for a new fiery hue
She's one of Hollywood's favourite blonde bombshell, so when Blake Lively ditched her honey hue for a new fiery red shade this week, the question on everyone's lips was, why?
Well, now we have the answer!
As suspected, the starlet has switched hairstyle a new role in movie Hick, in which she'll star alongside Chloe Moretz and Juliette Lewis.
She told People Magazine: 'It’s for the film Hick, I thought (my character) needed red hair. It helps when you’re playing a role, when I don’t feel like myself. And I don’t really feel like myself with red hair.'
This isn't the first time Blake has undergone a style transformation for her art - she switched to brunette to play Carol Ferris in the much-anticipated blockbuster, Green Lantern.
As for her latest 'do, Ms Lively raved on the image overhaul, 'I love it, I feel like Ariel.'
