When a brand has a 10,000 strong waiting list for it’s products (Boy Brow if you’re interested), round the block queues for their pop-ups and an Instagram following of half a million you know they’re doing something right…
Since it’s 2014 inception, US start-up Glossier has reached cult status and amassed an impressive international following. You might have already spotted them on social media (@Glossier) but if you haven’t think skin first, makeup second beauty.
Until now, we’ve had to base our stateside visits around getting a foot in the door of one of the brand’s pop-ups. Testament to it’s popularity are the near-constant queues to get into their showrooms and the fact doormen are needed to enforce the strict one in one out policy. Now, thankfully, gone are the days when you had to bribe mates to bring you back a stash of the products from their holiday, because from October 9th you can FINALLY get the sellout range delivered straight to your door.
If you haven’t tried Glossier before keep scrolling for our pick of * all * the products that you’ll want to add to your basket…
Top of our wishlist is Balm Dotcom, a hydrating, antioxidant rich lip salve. There are 6 different flavours, each with a unique sheer tint. Our favourites are Rose for a barely there pink, Cherry for a popping red or for a cool, refreshing hit stock up on Mint.
Glossier Boy Brow
now: Glossier Boy Brow for £14 from Glossier
The sellout from the range is Boy Brow. After years of envying Cara and simultaneously regretting over plucking our brows – we’ve finally found a solution. There’s a teeny tiny brush for easy application and it comes in 4 wearable shades: clear, blonde, brown and black. The creamy wax formula helps fill in any sparse areas and gives flexible hold too.
Glossier Cloud Paint
Cloud Paint is a buildable, highly pigmented cream blush. A little goes a long way so you’ll only need a tiny blob to cover your whole cheek, which means the handy tube lasts for ages. It blends in easily with your fingers too and can warm up even the dullest complexion.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
A good cleanser is probably the most important step of any beauty regime but it can also be one of the most tedious parts of the process. Since trying the Milky Jelly Cleanser when Glossier Founder, Emily Weiss came over to the UK, we’ve been totally converted. The lightweight formula leaves skin feeling silky and soft, banishing that horrible squeaky feeling to distant memory. And, it still manages to swipe off stubborn mascara. Now, there’s really no excuse to go to bed with your makeup on.
Do your prep work and bookmark the Glossier homepage now – it’s set to be a sellout.
