Alexander McQueen AW14 offers up its very own version of nature at Paris Fashion Week, February 2014
Alexander McQueen AW14 took fashion into the wild – an incredibly glamorous wildnerness, of course – setting its showcase amongst mossy moors and mysterious landscapes at Paris Fashion Week.
Mixing romance and nature together for the label’s fall line, Designer Sarah Burton created an animalistic collection set against an eerie backdrop that brought her crafts to life.
Billowing embroidered skirts were hoist in at the waist with thick leather ties contrasted with oversized fur capes and coats tied with pretty silk ribbons which walked alongside embellished pieces glistening in the light.
Striking beauty looks also went hand-in-hand with the primitive clothing as models sported thin plait bunches and huge false eyelashes akin to whiskers and feral eyes.
McQueen's contrast from the sleek city wear we've seen over the last few days was totally apparent, a breath of fresh air - and we loved it.
