Christian and Anastasia are back

Sex, masks and a steamy soundtrack? It can only mean one thing – Fifty Shades is back.

The new trailer for Fifty Shades Darker has finally been released and there’s a lot to get excited about. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are back in the lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey and this time there are fireworks galore.

Hitting the big screen on 10th February 2017, Fifty Shades Darker promises plenty of the usual blush-inducing scenes, only this time they're interspersed in between a much stronger plot line.

When we left them, Anastasia and Christian were on the rocks as we watched those elevator doors close on their relationship when Ana chooses to end it.

But if this trailer is anything to go by, the relationship seems to be well and truly back on, and it's steamier than ever. ‘No rules, no punishments and no more secrets’ says Ana, hinting that we might finally get a few answers about Christian’s mysterious past.

Unfortunately for Ana, these answers come in the form of his sexy exes – keep an eye out for Kim Basinger and Bella Heathcote who have been cast in the roles. Cue plenty of lingering glances in all directions set to a background of Miguel covering Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love.

This time, James Foley takes over as director, replacing Sam Taylor-Johnson who was rumoured to have stepped down after clashing with the Fifty Shades trilogy author, E.L. James.

After the success of the books, James is reported to be worth a staggering £37 million, and is currently ranked number one on the world’s highest-earning authors list.

This figure doesn’t take into account the royalties from the films either, which are once again slated to be huge. The 2015 Fifty Shades of Grey film netted a total box office profit of £360million, with the new second film expected to do equally well.
