Being muggled off is but the next great adventure.

The quickest way to a 90s kid's heart is through some witty Harry Potter wordplay and after last night's Love Island 2018 episode, we're basically ready to marry Niall Aslam. Clearly, we weren't the only ones who felt that way as the internet quickly fell in love with his quick-thinking Harry Potter puns - even if his former partner Kendall didn't.

Before Abs McGee - a.k.a. newcomer Adam - stole Kendall away from him, Niall and Kendall has a cosy moment on the couches where he revealed he was a massive Harry Potter geek. When she asked him about his tattoos, he revealed that he actually had a tattoo from J.K. Rowling's series: Hermione's wand. (Also, we're here for the great niche choice.)

The two bonded over the Boy Who Lived after that, as Kendall revealed her least favourite book was actually the first one.

Niall quipped, 'Why? You don't want to Philosopher's Stone and chill?'

However the Potter-based banter was shortlived, as Adam with his 'fifteen abs' arrived to break up the party. Boo.

Later that evening when Adam chose to pair up with Kendall, he coined a phrase that will forever go down in television history. He said, 'I got muggled off.'

While Niall may have lost out this episode, he clearly won the internet with his magical puns when #muggledoff began trending on Twitter. Here's a few of the funniest reactions below…

Hopefully he has a wand - or a strategy - in his back pocket this episode, otherwise he could very well be the first person to go home this season.

The next episode of Love Island will be aired tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
