And it seems all the rage with royal parents

2018 is undoubtedly the year of royal babies, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcoming Prince Louis in April and Zara and Mike Tindall having their second daughter, Lena Elizabeth, in June.

It is Kate Middleton’s sister however who is the latest extended royal family member to have some baby news, set to give birth to her first child with husband James Matthews in October.

The exact due date is not yet known, but the fact that the Duchess is reportedly a ‘maybe’ for Princess Eugenie’s 12th October wedding gives us a vague idea.

We’re sure Pippa would want Kate nearby - given how close the sisters are.

In fact, this week it was revealed that Pippa is even following after her sister with a very sweet baby tradition, choosing not to know the sex of her baby until birth.

That’s right. According to Pippa’s brother-in-law, Spencer Matthews, the couple don’t know if they’re having a boy or a girl.

’They don’t [know],’ Spencer told Ruth Langsford on This Morning. ‘They’re extremely private and honestly, we know nothing’.

Unlike her sister however, Pippa didn’t suffer from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness.

‘I was lucky to pass the 12 week scan without suffering from morning sickness,’ Pippa explained of her pregnancy in a column for Waitrose Weekend, earlier this year. ‘That meant I was able to carry on as normal.’

‘This being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered,' she went on to explain, but if anyone is qualified to give her a helping hand it's mum of three, Kate.

We can't wait to meet the new arrival!
