Meghan Markle has just shut down her blog for an unexpected reason

And apparently it is all because of her relationship with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle surprised everyone this weekend when she announced the end of her successful lifestyle blog: The Tig.

Created three years ago, The Tig – founded by Meghan Markle - was a lifestyle website and brand, focused on travel, food, fashion and beauty, boasting a strong following of like-minded individuals.

On Friday, however, Meghan made the decision to close her blog down, posting a heartfelt message to her website, entitled ‘Farewell, Darling’.

‘To all my Tig friends

After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being "the change you wish to see in the world."

Above all, don't ever forget your worth - as I've told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.

Thank you for everything. Xx’

The 35-year-old Suits actress then took to her own Instagram account to break the news and post an emotional goodbye.

‘Thank you to all the supporters of The Tig!’ she wrote. ‘From followers to contributors, you have become friends. It is YOU who have made this Tig community so special. And even though I haven't met most of you, for three years I've seen your faces and read your comments and hugged you from afar. (Domi, Em, Hannah, Sol, Iris, Doris, Jessy, Simone, Cassy...and so many more! I will always be grateful for your support).’

News of The Tig’s closure comes as people have been speculating that the next season of Suits could be Meghan’s last, leading people to question why the American actress is freeing up her time.

It is widely thought that these sudden changes are linked to Meghan’s increasingly serious relationship with Prince Harry.

The couple have been dating for over six months, and it has been speculated that Meghan is closing her blog in a bid for more privacy, something that is absolutely necessary for becoming part of the royal family, fuelling rumours of a potential move to London.

Many have compared her decision to take a step back from her blog and potentially end her time on Suits with Kate Middleton quitting her job as a project manager months before marrying Prince William.
