To celebrate this fusion of music and film brilliance, here's our pick of the 10 best celebrity duos excelling in their respective fields.

Introducing our 10 favourite celebrity power couples, taking a leaf out of the Beckhams' book. They're all mega stars in their own industries but, while they're brilliant apart, we reckon they're even better together...

Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio

Speculation has been building around a romance between this unlikely but amazing pair for weeks, and they were pictured together in a tabloid shot for the first time at RiRi's birthday party on 2 March, seeming to confirm the rumours. According to eye witnesses, they were all over each other, and Leo didn't leave the Bajan beauty's side all night. Ooh la la. They don't seem like each others' usual type and there's a 13-year age gap, but here's hoping things last because we'd love to see this twosome ruling the red carpet together.

Suki Waterhouse and Bradley Cooper

She's the Burberry model in Cara's gang; he's the Hollywood hearthrob with serious acting credentials after a starring turn in the Oscar-nominated American Sniper. With a Transatlantic vibe and 17 years between them, this is another unexpected but brilliant pairing: they give great couple shots and rumour has it they're about to move in together in London. Anything that gets Mr Cooper in the UK long-term has our full support.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin

This new couple have been keeping their romance on the serious down-low, but seemed to confirm things were definitely on in February when they were spotted together at Harry Styles' 21st birthday party in LA. Things got confusing, though, when Chris was pictured with ex Gwyneth Paltrow on Valentine's Day, sparking rumours of a "conscious recoupling". This is another music-meets-movies pairing (with an age gap) that we really like the sound of, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that they go public soon.

FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson

We were so thrilled to hear that RPatz had moved on from his Kristen Stewart break-up with the achingly cool FKA Twigs. Twilight fans desperate for a real life Edward-Bella reconciliation are likely be disappointed because this new duo are getting serious: rumour has it they're planning to move in together. The low-key couple have both got their own thing going on, but were reunited after the BRITs in February and are said to be crazy about each other.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin

Hollywood's eternal bachelor has finally been tamed - by the impossibly chic superwoman that is Amal Alamuddin. The whirlwind romance between this top human rights barrister and the one and only Mr Clooney led to a seriously glamorous wedding in Venice last September. Despite recent (we hope unfounded) rumours that the duo is already heading for divorce, we have high hopes that this union will last, especially after George's gushing Golden Globes speech in January, where he declared that he "couldn't be more proud" of his new bride. We're not surprised George: she's awesome. It's been said that the Cloonster may be planning a move into politics, and we couldn't imagine a more inspirational and stylish partner by his side...

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Ah Kimye, where do we start? He's the rapper-turned-designer who is never short of a hilariously random new quote; she's the reality star who has made an artform (and a book) out of selifes. Love them or loathe them, it's safe to say that Kim and Kanye are one power couple the world literally can't get rid...sorry, we mean enough of.

Georgina Chapman and Harvey Weinstein

Fashion meets film in this super sophisticated pairing between Marchesa designer Georgina and her Miramax movie mogul husband Harvey. After over a decade together (and two kids), this in-demand duo still look unfailingly happy whenever they pose on the red carpet. Too adorable.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

Sure, Justin's had a pop at acting too, but to us he'll always be one of the hottest men in music, forming a perfect power couple with his gorgeous actress wife Jessica Biel, and even penning romantic hit "Mirrors" about their relationship. This ridiculously good-looking pair are expecting their first child soon, and annouced the news with an extremely cute Instagram of JT kissing Jessica's bare bump. We're so glad they came to their senses after a brief split in 2011.

Christy Turlington and Edward Burns

One of the original supermodel-actor pairings, Christy and Edward's relationship has stood the test of time. The duo, who've been together for 15 years, proved to the world that they still very much have it going on when they teamed up in last summer's steamy ad campaign for Calvin Klein Eternity. The secret to their marital success? They have separate bathrooms. Now that's something we'd like to emulate in our own love lives...

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden

Cameron wed the former Good Charlotte rockstar in January following a whirlwind romance that began in May 2014 after Benji's sister-in-law, Nicole Richie, introduced them. We'd love to be a fly on the wall during their double dates - just sayin'. And now that Benji has tattood Cameron's name onto his collarbone, it's pretty clear that this pairing is going to go the distance (at least we hope so for his sake...). The latest rumour is that 42-year-old Cameron may actually be pregnant with twins so watch this space.
