And it's lovely.

Meghan Markle is one of the most talked about women in the world, with everything from her fashion choices (hello Meghan Markle effect) to the decisions around her future royal baby with Prince Harry, making viral news.

This week however, it was the unearthing of a gracious handwritten note from the former Suits actress that got the world talking.

The letter was written by Meghan to an InStyle editor after her first photoshoot with the magazine, and it's lovely.

'Dear Karen', the note reads. 'It was such a pleasure to sit & chat with you and the other ladies at InStyle. I can't wait for you to see the pilot and hear your thoughts. Thanks for your support!'

Then, signing off the message, Meghan wrote: 'XO, Meghan Markle'.

Meghan has been known to send hand-written notes, speaking previously about her love of calligraphy, so the letter is hardly surprising, written just before the premiere of Suits. But it's nice to have proof that Meghan has always acted as the royal she is now.

Meghan actually used to work as a freelance calligrapher to support herself while looking for work in the film industry, a job she called “super lucrative” because there was barely anybody doing it.

'I would sit there with a little white tube sock on my hand so no hand oils got on the card, trying to pay my bills while auditioning. I'm glad that in the land of no one seeming to appreciate a handwritten note anymore that I can try to keep that alive', Meghan told Esquire in 2018.

In her hay day, she was hired by Robin Thicke, Paula Patton, and Dolce & Gabbana to make event invitations. Little did they know Meghan was to become one of the most famous women in the world.
