A cast member of Suits has revealed Meghan Markle was assigned a bodyguard from the MI5 while she was filming.
According to The Express, Wendell Pierce, who plays Meghan's on-screen father Robert Zane, claims he did not really know if rumours were true about Meghan dating a British prince until security from the MI5 began to accompany her to set.
"I actually didn’t believe it was real", he said.
“Then all of a sudden I turn around and there is this guy from MI5 on set every day.”
Whether this information is true or not remains unclear, as the activities of the MI5 are usually kept quiet.
Pierce also spoke about Meghan's relationship with Harry and her role as the Duchess of Sussex:
“The one thing that was clear, she was extremely happy. She had a glow. I knew she was in love".
He continued: “With the whirlwind of publicity and the world of being a Royal now, the one thing that’s constant is the fact that I know she loves him.”
Despite their close working relationship, Wendell was not able to attend the Duchess of Sussex's wedding and watched from home. He has previously shared his support for Meghan over her issues with real-life father Thomas Markle.
