You need to know about this beauty brand – and pronto.

When celebrities are using smaller niche brands and sharing their love – you know it’s the good stuff. That’s the case with Kat Burki who counts Julianne Moore and Linda Evangelista as two of her biggest fans. Her eponymous range has just entered Space nk stores nationwide, and to say it’s a little bit special is an understatement.

So here’s the background: Burki was a healthcare lawyer in the US and worked alongside scientists and epidemiologists researching the rise of environmental and food-related disease. She realised there was a disconnect between processing, health and skincare. She then fused what she’d seen and learned through her career and created something of a wonder-range that has hit cult status. Hey key motto? She felt that the health-related aspects of the beauty industry weren’t being addressed and because she knew how over-processing and heat can ruin nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants, which is why she launched her cold-pressed skincare method to ensure the maximum potency per product. Fast-forward to the present day and Burki’s range is the skincare mainstay of the Victoria’s Secrets models, among others. Converted yet?

Stuck on the rest of your skincare routine? Beauty site Powder will give you skincare product recommendations that are chosen especially for your skin type.

The hero product, is her Vitamin C Intensive face Cream, £72. It’s ultra hydrating but also very light and is rammed with the antioxidants wild reishi mushroom and green tea working to ward off free-radical damage. There’s a potent dose of vitamin C (15% rather than the usual 5%), which can boost your collagen production, and help to repair damaged cells. The best bit? It sinks in so quickly because of the way it’s cold-processed. You can apply your make-up pretty much straight away, which saves time fanning your face with futile abandon. Above all, it’s a lovely, natural and luxury range that delivers on its promises. We’ve been using it for a week and are truly converted.
