Leonardo Dicaprio strikes deal with Four Seasons hotel to build Caribbean eco-hotels
LEONARDO DICAPRIO IS continuing his eco-crusade by opening a green hotel in the Caribbean. The actor has reportedly entered into a deal with The Four Seasons chain of hotels to create the resort, which will be built on land DiCaprio owns in Belize.
DiCaprio bought the Caribbean island, off the coast of Belize in 2005. It was reported at the time that the actor planned to transform the land into an environmentally friendly holiday destination, as a new business venture, that would not compromise his strict eco-beliefs.
A date has not been set for when the hotel will open, but work is due to start in 2008.
