Stella McCartney to dabble in small style for Gap
Stella McCartney is bringing her signature designer style to the high street, albeit on the tiniest scale.
The British fashionista has announced that she’s collaborating with Gap to design her first ever collection of children’s and baby wear, set to hit stores this November.
Speaking on her new endeavour, McCartney commented, ‘For years now I’ve wanted to create a collection for kids… I believe that this one-off collaboration will be a great way for customers to be able to participate in the Stella McCartney brand.’
Alluding that the credit crunch had been a factor in her choice of partner, she added, ‘I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate.’
This will not be the first time that McCartney has designed for the high street. She created a one-off line for H&M, and also has an ongoing sportswear collaboration with Adidas.
