Meghan Markle is apparently getting fashion advice from this unlikely source

Meghan Markle is still finding her feet as the newest member of the Royal family (she is taking actual Princess lessons) and while Kate Middleton has given her some fashion advice, the Duchess of Sussex apparently has another, quite unexpected, stylist that she turns to: Prince Harry.

Yup, according to Daily Mail sources, the Meghan has been turning to her new husband for some sartorial tips, rather than following protocol too closely.

'Meghan is always asking Harry’s opinion. She really wants his views,' the source says.

'He gives his views on what he thinks looks best, rather than helping her follow Royal protocol on hemlines or anything like that. The joke is that Harry is Meghan’s surprise stylist.'

And it turns out Harry is even more hands on than you think, coming to dress appointments with Meghan too.

The Duchess has apparently commissioned a few more outfits from Stella McCartney, after her second wedding dress went down such a treat.

The source said, 'The special projects team at Stella McCartney are working on a few more outfits for Meghan, and Harry always comes to design meetings and fittings to give his opinions on the looks'.

Add to that the fact that Harry helped Meghan through her first balcony appearance and we'd say he's an all round thoughtful guy.

Even if he is putting other stylists out of a job.

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
