Petite Lanvin launches for mini Alber Elbaz fans
Since Alber Elbaz announced his plans to launch a childrenswear collection, mini fashionistas have held their collective breath to see the results. And with the first unveiling of Petite Lanvin, we predict another wave of Lanvin mania on the way.
Inspired by brand founder Jeanne Lanvin and her relationship with daughter Marguerite, the 25-piece ‘precious’ collection is for girls aged between four and 10 years old.
With a line of separates, accessories and of course dresses, the collection is the stuff of fairytales (see Lanvin’s womenswear range) with organza, satin ribbon and pleated tulle – perfect for a little princess.
Highlights include the ribbon embellished T-shirts (not dissimilar to his sell-out H&M range), a silk taffeta trench coat and of course mini Lanvin ballerina pumps – complete with tulle pom-pom.
There are also four exclusive rag dolls dressed in the collection with proceeds donated to the charity Designing Hope.
As Lanvin says, ‘cultivating good taste starts young’, so it’s time for parents to forget practicality and raid that piggy bank…
