Robert Pattinson has admitted that he can't stop reading stories about him and former girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

Since becoming famous Rob has always asked for privacy, but since Kristen Stewart publicly apologised for cheating on him with married director Rupert Sanders his personal troubles have been front page news almost daily, and even the actor himself is addicted to reading about the unfolding drama.

The 26-year-old told the Columbus Dispatch: 'Yeah, I read it. It's my life. You sort of want to read it. You feel like you need to read it.'

Rob added: 'It's one of those things where you keep picking a scab.

'You know you shouldn't be doing it, but it's a weird kind of addiction. You desperately want to stop.'

The Twilight star also said that he takes everything with a pinch of salt and tries not to take the rumours and gossip too seriously.

He said: 'At times, I find the whole thing pretty funny.

'It is pretty funny. My life is kind of ridiculous to me. It's so absurd at times.'
