SJP: Chris Noth is wrong, Sex And The City isn’t dead
By Abby Tayleure on Monday 11 October 2010
Sarah Jessica Parker has defended Sex And The City, after co-star Chris Noth recently claimed the famous franchise was 'dead'.

The actress even said there could be more films in the future, despite bad reviews of the second movie.
She told Vulture: ‘I don’t know the future. I would say that you never know what will happen with that particular franchise.
'It's less about the reviewers than it is about the audience, and they’ve been pretty true, so we tend to listen to them more than anybody else.
‘If Michael Patrick didn’t put those words into those characters’ mouths, I don’t think people would respond for so many years. So we’ll see. Who knows.’

There are rumours that Chris Noth was joking when he told New York Magazine at the premiere of Jack Goes Boating: ‘It's over. The franchise is dead. The press killed it.
‘Your magazine f***ing killed it. New York Magazine. It's like all the critics got together and said, “this franchise must die.” Because they all had the exact same review. It's like they didn't see the movie.’
What do you think? Should they make a new Sex And The City film?

I think the audience was very disappointed - I know I was, it wasn't just the reviewers.

Yep of course...the deathknoll for the last one was the storyline theme..appalling.
Keep the girls in the city and the city in the girls!. By all means ..give them a break somewhere but not the Middle East!! Who made that Grand Error of judgement??
The first film still had the captivation and enthrallment of the series and felt like a follow on but this last 'episode' had no such empathy or related to anything...like a very 'sore thumb' on screen!
I would hate to see the end of the girls..because of this slipup...Try again SJP..you are a producer and Chris....stop with the comments ...taken out of line .or what!!..we would miss u badly..(Im sure he meant it as a Big joke tho).

The films haven't lived up to the series but that doesn't mean they can't be highly entertaining. I loved SATC1 and still enjoyed SATC2 even with its cringe worthy moments. I hope that it can be a lesson learned... put more effort into creating something intelligent and funny - give us (the fans) what we miss most about the show! Let's have a fabulous SATC3... with the original ladies (I'll not have any of this pre-quel rubbish!).

You must be joking !!! The film was perfection.........The handling of the menopause was wonderful and delicatley funny along with the concept of the Arab dress and how that was handled was also marvellous.
The sceptism created via the reviews was dispelled upon watching the film.
WE LOVED IT and WE WANT MORE !!!!!!
Anyone that hated STC2 then STAY AWAY when 3 comes out, you obviously have no taste xxx

Totally disagree with the negative comments. Personally I did not enjoy the 1st movie, it really felt like they were trying too hard to re-capture their on-screen magic. Sadly for me it fell far from the standard of the TV show...then a long came movie number 2.
I love, love, loved it!!!! All of the old magic was back; the girls all seemed to slip back into their groove, and produced a really great film. The humour, the Aiden dilemma, the menopause, all of it was just like the series! I did not understand the negative critique, an d truly didn't understand the rave reviews of the 1st movie. In SATC2 I saw a return of all the SOUL that was missing the 1st time - totally redeemed themselves!!! And yes, me too...
I LOVED IT, & I WANT MORE!!!!
