The Duchess of Cambridge bags a bargain at Topshop

Kate stopped off for a spot of high street shopping in Kensington yesterday, treating herself to a new jacket and pencil skirt

The Duchess has done it again! Kate Middleton bagged herself yet another bargain on the high street earlier this week, when she hit the Kensington branch of Topshop for a spot of retail therapy.

According to onlookers, the Duchess browsed the rails ‘for quite some time’ before selecting a handful of items.

And that’s not all. Oh no. Down to earth Ms Middleton then marched her potential purchases to the changing room, where she tried them all for size – eventually selecting a £65 cobalt-blue velvet trim boucle jacket, £38 teal spotted pencil skirt and two pairs of earrings.

But queuing up to pay for per purchases, it seems the Duchess decided two pairs of earrings was just a little too extravagant, ditching one £8.99 pair of danglies at the counter, before paying for the rest of her goods using a rewards card.

Just like the rest of us.

'She was low-key and casual – she seemed so normal,' one Topshop staffer told American People magazine.

'She was really chilled out despite some customers in the queue behind her saying, "Oh my God, it’s her" and pointing – she didn’t seem fazed by it all and she was really sweet.'

With Kate and William scheduled to step out at a royal engagement this afternoon, perhaps Miss Middleton's planning on debuting one of her new buys?

But with her purchases now sold out around the country, don't expect to get your hands on them any time soon...
