We love Prince George. We love Richie Rich. And now the two are becoming one.

We love Prince George. We love Richie Rich. And now the two are becoming one.

Remember Macaulay Culkin's classic (and brilliant) post Home Alone movie Richie Rich? Remember all the monogrammed dressing gowns and 80s tailoring? The big palatial house and famous parents?

Does anyone feel like Prince George might in fact be Richie Rich's 21st Century spirit animal? Just us? Let's compare and contrast...

1) They both enjoy an 80s mini-me wardrobe

Richie's 80s double-breasted suit and neckerchief project an air of baby boomer golf club chic, while George attended his Great Grandmother's 90th birthday celebrations in the exact 1980s ensemble his father, Prince William, wore to the christening of his brother Harry.

And while we're talking about 1980s throwbacks, this is also a pretty strong look:

2) They have their own monogrammed pyjamas

Here is George in his personalised dressing gown, casually greeting President Obama before bedtime like a total boss.

Here is Richie Rich in his very own set of personalised pyjamas (probably just off a Skype call from the President)

3) They both make an opulent palatial setting work for them

Remember the 'you have your own McDonalds' scene from Richie Rich? Probably the coolest moment of the whole film.

'Thanks for the rocking horse, Prez'

4) They both do a good 'sports casual'

5) They're statesmanlike when they need to be

Whether it's being rendered in stone on 'Mount Richmore' (above) or posing with the family for a commemorative stamp.

6) They like to travel in style

'Greeted from my own private jet? No biggie'

Richie has his own chauffeur-drive Rolls with RR JR on the numberplate (subtle)

7) They both understand the occasional need to hit the streets

Going undercover to catch the evil CFO of your Dad's company (above) or just blending in with ordinary bods at nursery school (below)

8) Career-wise, they're both following in their father's footsteps

'Yeah you basically just have to point and wave a lot'

'Welcome to my office. Please pull up a monogrammed leather chair'

9) But they've both got a little way to go before they get there...
