Kate Middleton apparently won't have to lift a finger at the Royal Wedding

'They just want her to enjoy the day.'

When it comes to planning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, we’d imagine you need all the help you can get - though there’s one person who’s reportedly been freed of any duties. It’s been reported that Kate Middleton (who, by the way has just given birth to the third royal baby) will apparently watch her brother-in-law get hitched from the sidelines, without getting involved in the wedding planning frenzy.

A source close to the royal family revealed to Vanity Fair that Meghan and Prince Harry didn’t want to put too much pressure on the new mother, as she and Wills are going to be understandably snowed under with today's royal baby arrival. Spoiler: it's a boy.

The source said, ‘Frankly, Harry and Meghan are just happy that Kate will be there given she will only just have given birth. They have told her there is no pressure on her to do anything, they just want her to enjoy the day.’

Kensington Palace confirmed that Kate had given birth to a boy at 11am today, after going into labour five hours earlier. Prince William was at her side and their new son was delivered at St. Mary’s Hospital, the same place his siblings were born.

It’s absolutely lovely that Prince Harry will be able to share one of the biggest days of his life with his new nephew, whose name we’re still patiently waiting on. Although Kate had her hands full shepherding the little ones at her sister Pippa Middleton’s wedding and helping out on the big day, somebody else will have to take the reins on that front this May 19.

The source said, ‘[Harry and Meghan] just want Kate to be able to enjoy the day and not worry about anything. Harry has said there’s no pressure on her to do anything. They know Kate will have her hands full.’

While Kate will be able to kick up her heels and really enjoy the royal wedding, that doesn’t mean that Princess Charlotte and Prince George will be able to shirk their duties as flower girl and page boy respectively. We’re gearing up for the cutest photos of all time.
