But could this be a way of predicting who will take home the title?

At the moment, Essex boy Olly Murs leads the way, with a whopping 212,390 fans on his official Facebook page.

Next – but with almost 100,000 less – comes Stacey Solomon, with a (still massive) 123,668 fans. Eighteen-year-old Joe McElderry has 73,520 supporters.

Meanwhile, last week’s evictee, poor old Danyl Johnson, had just 41,000 followers on his page.

But will the Facebook fans come out to vote, or do the stats mean nothing?

If last year’s fan fight is anything to go by, the numbers definitely don’t say it all.

Runners up JLS had by far the most fans before the final vote, even though dazzling diva Alexandra Burke took home the title.

Olly is leading this year’s Facebook fight, but will he win the big competition?
