Katy Perry given a glamorous mermaid makeover for ghd

Style chameleon Katy Perry has turned glamorous mermaid for ghd's latest campaign.

GHD ambassador Perry has launched the cult hair brand's first ever salon strength hairdryer, the ghd air.

The latest ghd godsend features a powerful professional motor and advanced iconic technology, which to you and me, means fast drying, frizz-free luscious locks.

The edgy campaign, which was shot by David LaChapelle, sees Katy sizzle in a sequined mermaid costume.



'David LaChapelle made the set amazing,' Katy tells Marie Claire Australia. 'It was fun – I got to have purple hair which foreshadowed the real purple hair I had last fall. It's as if Lisa Frank had done The Little Mermaid.'

Admitting she was 'such a fan of the Disney movies,' Perry added that she loved the mermaid costume so much she was considering keeping it aside for Halloween.
