The Queen has apparently given Prince Harry her blessing to propose to Meghan Markle

And everyone is very excited.

And everyone is very excited.

Ever since news emerged of Prince Harry’s relationship to Suits actress Meghan Markle last November, the whole world has been waiting for news of a royal engagement.

It was clear that Meghan was a keeper from the very beginning, with Prince Harry confirming their relationship in an unprecedented move, releasing a statement from Kensington Palace, referring to her as ‘his girlfriend’ and asking for privacy.

Since then the couple has passed a considerable amount of relationship milestones: Christmas tree shopping together, meeting each other’s families and most recently, making their first public appearance as a couple at the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park Polo Club.

The most important relationship milestone for any royal couple, however, has to be meeting the Queen, with the monarch having to give her blessing for an heir to marry their chosen partner, according to English law.

Meghan Markle was introduced to the Queen in March this year, during the royal Mother’s Day celebrations, and it has now been reported that HRH has given Prince Harry her blessing to pop the question.

‘The way it’s going, the engagement will probably happen this year,’ a source reportedly told The Mirror and The Daily Express. ‘Harry has got approval from the Queen to propose to Meghan, he’s already had those conversations with her majesty. An engagement is imminent.’
