How bunny ears became the season's must-have accessory
Once the reserve of hen parties and Playboy models, bunny ears have bizarrely become the hottest A-list accessory of the season - but why?
Blame Marc Jacobs, who was the first to tap the trend, decking models at his Louis Vuitton autumn/winter '09 catwalk show in black chiffon vertiginous ears.
Fast forward three-months, and his favourite new muse, Madonna, hit the Costume Institute Gala red carpet with a turquoise LV headpieces atop her head. With the Material Girl championing the look, Hollywood's hippest weren't slow to follow.
Always keen to tackle the most out-there styling, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen got playful in Maison Michel lace rabbit and mouse ears respectively at a recent event, while songstresses Lady Gaga and Lily Allen have both hopped on the trend in matching net pairs, with face-covering veils.
And so there you have it, the rabbit look might have permeated the A-lists' wardrobes, but would you be brave enough to test it out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
