Alexis Mabille's cobalt gown gets two red carpet outings
Alexis Mabille's autumn/winter '09 cobalt couture gown has received two serious star outings in the last year - first spotted on the lovely Keira Knightley, and then again on Dita Von Teese, last week at the Cannes Film festival.
The red carpet re-run got its debut as Ms Knightley stepped out at the London premiere of The Duchess in September 2008.
She teamed the dress with black patent Moschino courts, a side-swept up 'do and glowing natural make-up, ensuring she blew the crowds away.
Upping the considerable Cannes couture count, Von Teese gave the gown its second star outing as she partied at Dsquared²'s Cannes store opening.
Like Keira, she opted for a bare neckline, letting the lacy detailing provide the drama, and added black patent heels. Making the style her own, she added her signature pops of ruby red – a scarlet pout and matching nails.
