Marc Jacobs is known for his quirky take on advertising, and his latest campaign starring Victoria Beckham does not disappoint.

The first in a series of adverts shows a large Marc Jacobs carrier bag with nothing but Mrs Beckham's legs hanging out of the top. We do finally get to see her in the next image, where she is again in the bag but this time peeking out wearing her signature sunglasses. A third shows a mini Posh inside a Marc Jacobs shoebox.

Speaking to WWD, Jacobs explained the theory behind the adverts, which were photographed by celebrated fashion photographer Juergen Teller. 'There was a lot of discussion about Victoria being in our ads and tons of blogs on the internet about 'Should she or shouldn't she?,' 'What's going on with Marc Jacobs?,' and 'Has he lost his mind?' Jacobs explained, ' We thought the funniest thing would be to show the Victoria Beckham ads that don't show Victoria Beckham, but just to see those legs coming out of the bag.'

The Spice Girl added, 'Marc is a genius, I completely trusted his vision and the opportunity to work with Juergen again after so many years was a privilege.'

When asked what her favourite image of the series was, Posh said, 'Truth be told, I love them all. If I have to pick favorites, it's the package series?.Certainly, if you can't get locked inside a Marc Jacobs store, then trapped inside a Marc bag has got to be the next best thing.'
