Uplifting, ornate and just generally fabulous, Marni has the fashion pack all aflutter

Uplifting, ornate and just generally fabulous, Marni had the fashion pack all aflutter on Sunday morning. Yep, there's no rest for the stylish set with shows kicking off at 9am each day over the weekend.

Thankfully, with such beauty on the runway, no one was complaining about the early Sunday start.

Texture was key, with cosy earmuffs, bear-like fur mittens and thick tweedy fabrics providing contrast to the sparkling checked tights, crystal-embellished collars and sequin-covered dresses.

In keeping with the ornate theme, jewellery was also larger than life, from the studded chunky gold cuffs to the fabulously OTT embellished necklaces, which were so laden down with flowers, crystals and jewels they needed thick ribbons, rather than fine silver chains, to tie them in place.

The only complaint heard from the world's editors and fashion directors as they left the show: why do we have to wait until September to start shopping the collection? SEE ALL THE MARNI PHOTOS HERE
