Karl Lagerfeld had one hell of a surprise up his designer sleeve for the guests at the Chanel's spring/summer 2010 show in Paris.

The finale of the catwalk spectacle at the Grand Palais included a performance from none other than Karl's close pal Lily Allen - who is also the face of Chanel's Cocoon bag collection.

Following a 'back to nature' theme, the models stepped out on an extravagant rustic barnyard set, appearing from within a giant haystack in the middle of the room.

Sporting stalks of wheat and grass in their tousled hair, they stormed around the set in towering wooden clogs to showcase a stunning array of countryside-inspired pieces - plenty of puff-sleeve blouses, taffeta dresses and cutesy pinafores.

But as if the opulent designs and spectacular set weren't enough to keep the audience drooling for more, front row faces such as Rihanna, Prince and Claudia Schiffer were treated to the sight of Lily and her band rising through a trap door in the floor.

Decked out in a beautiful black and gold sequinned dress with feathered sleeves (which one can safely assume was most probably new season Chanel), Miss Allen launched into a rendition of new single It's Not Fair, to bring the show to a rousing end.
