Putters are confirmed as the must-have accessory of pre-fall 2015
It was all fun and games at Stella McCartney’s pre-fall presentation in New York last night, as models wearing faux fuzz hats played crazy golf with Kristen Stewart. There’s a sentence we never thought we’d write.
Known for turning her collection presentations into A-list parties (remember that time when magician Hans Klok made Alexa Chung levitate over dinner) Stella took over the James Burden Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and set up a series of holes for models and onlookers to play.
An androgynous K-Stew was joined by Chloe Sevigny and Tali Lennox, as Tennessee Thomas DJ’ed and even more models started a ping pong match.
The party mood was reflected in the clothes, too, as droplet jewels were smattered on cocktail looks and belted Mongolian faux fur was worked into monstrous, cosy day dresses.

AW14’s popular mega-flatforms returned in a white slingback style and all eyes were on the new Noma bag, a mini mate for the iconic Falabella to hang with. Perhaps most crucially of all, every pre-season look was accessorised with a putter.
