Happy 125th birthday Lanvin! Creative chief Alber Elbaz threw a typically glamorous celebration at Paris Fashion Week last night, with a collection packed full of signature party dresses - big on bijoux, Grecian draping and metallic jacquards.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sat beside Catherine Deneuve on the front row (this was a show that welcomed the brand’s clientele from all eras), while supermodels past, present and future united on the catwalk – cue cameos from Amber Valetta and Edie Campbell, who donned a shaggy blonde wig for the occasion.

The esteemed Parisian fashion house, founded by Jeanne Lanvin in 1889, has been thriving commercially and creatively under the control of Elbaz (who himself celebrated a decade at the helm two years ago) and shows no sign of slowing down with its age. Diffusion deals with H&M and Lancome have allowed the brand to diversify beyond its trademark beautiful dresses, while a fresh wave of celebrity fans – Emma Stone, Elle Fanning and, youngest of all, North West – has helped keep the label looking fresh and exciting on the red carpet.
