Kendall Jenner, Alexa Chung and dozens more stars joined Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing on the catwalk in New York last night, to celebrate the launch of the much anticipated Balmain x H&M collection.
Kendall was joined by Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Gigi Hadid and all the usual supermodel suspects on the glossy H&M runway, working full looks from the new high street line (which launches on 5th November) and cementing Olivier’s status as one of the most popular people in fashion. Alexa, Ellie Goulding and Kylie Jenner were amongst the stars watching on from the front row, all wearing their favourite pieces from the new collection, but of course.
And then to top it all off, The Backstreet Boys performed. Because, well, why not? Throwing the fashion pack right the way back to the 90s, they performed hits Larger Than Life and I Want It That Way, as the crowd broke into a frenzy of fish-face pouting and selfie taking – exactly what Insta-king Olivier would have wanted.
Balmain is now a fully-fledged pop culture phenomenon and last night’s do confirmed the label’s global appeal – the H&M collection is bound to be an instant sell-out.
And one thing’s for sure, Olivier Rousteing sure knows how to throw a party…
