Just how old is fashion's hottest model of the moment, Agyness Deyn?

SHE'S THE LATEST model to make a splash in the fashion world, and being dubbed the next Kate Moss is an accolade Agyness Deyn won't shy away from.

However it appears the star of the spring/summer 2008 collections is not as young as her fans might believe.

The model, who was famously spotted in a fish and chip shop has featured in a series of interviews recently stating her age as 21. Internet databases also claim she is the same age – giving 16 February 1986 as her date of birth.

However it seems Agyness, who is the face of various modelling campaigns, including Burberry and Armani, and whose real name is Laura Hollins, is in fact 24.

On the Companies House website the listing for Laura Hollins shows her birthday as 16 February 1983 and a whole page is dedicated to Deyn on Facebook, entitled Agyness Deyn You're Not 18, where people discuss her age.

The introduction on the site begins: 'This group is for all those who realise that supermodel Agyness Deyn, AKA Laura Hollins, is not 18, or 21 or any of the other ages she claims to be.'
