Tim Walker adds a touch of whimsy to Aquascutum ad campaign
In the coming together of two heavyweights of the British fashion world, quintessentially English brand Aquascutum has teamed up with celebrated photographer Tim Walker for its spring/summer '09 campaign.
The combination of Walker's whimsicality and charm, with Aquascutum's undeniably elegant heritage has resulted in a set of fantastical images.
The first campaign pic celebrates one of the key trends of this season - blue - as a number of loved-up couples enjoy a group smooch dressed in every possible hue
from navy to sky, electric to cornflower.
The second image sees the couples continue their kissing session whilst clad in the iconic AquaMac.
Walker, who was the subject of a recent retrospective at the Design Museum entitled 'Pictures,' has carved himself a reputation for creating innovative images.

He said: 'I've wanted to shoot Aquascutum for some time, so working on the spring/summer 2009 campaign has been great.
'Michael Herz, Aquascutum's head of womenswear and design, and I were inspired by the very same Aquascutum archive image, so we worked together on the concept of the group kiss. I hope it captures something of the romance, nostalgia and freshness of the brand,' adds Walker.
Of the campaign Aquascutum's President and CEO, Kim Winser, commented: 'We are thrilled to be working with Tim Walker for the new advertising campaign. This partnership reinforces our Britishness and Tim's imagery also develops beautifully a new take on the story of intrigue and passion introduced in the last few seasons' campaigns.'
