Kerry Fashion Weekend, 7-9 March 2013
With both Simone Rocha and JW Anderson hailing from the Emerald Isle, put Kerry Fashion Weekend on your must-do list to spot the next big name in Irish talent. Celebrating its fifth year, highlights include a catwalk show offering an exclusive preview of new collections from Irish designers and boutiques, a ‘Business of Fashion Seminar’, which will give practical advise from fashion industry experts including Don O’Neill, creative director of Theia (NYC), and finally a glitzy Gala Awards Dinner. Celebrating the best of emerging Irish fashion talent, nominated names hoping for an award on the night include Colin Horgan, Carol Kennelly and Sophie Hunter.
Reykjavik Fashion Festival, 14-16 March 2013
Aiming to champion Icelandic talent, this festival will see a mix of fashion, design and music at different venues around the city. Now in its fourth year, names to watch include ‘Farmers Market,’ ‘Ella’ and ‘Huginn Muninn.’
Vancouver Fashion Week, 19-24 March 2013
Kicking off with a gala opening party, the week continues with catwalk shows from both emerging and established designers. With live streaming, you can watch shows like Emily Hart and Melissa Kicks from the comfort of your bed!
Miami Fashion Week, 20-23 March 2013
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Miami fashion week is the largest International and Hispanic fashion event in the US. Alongside the fashion there is plenty of beauty, music and art too.
Manchester Fashion Week, 22-26 April 2013
Football will be given the boot (well for one week only!) as MCRFW transform the National Football Museum into a fashionista’s paradise. Hosting 30 fashion shows and 15 exhibition spaces, featuring both graduate to high end designers, there promises to be something for everyone.
Liverpool Fashion Week, 14-19 October 2013
Last year’s event was the biggest fashion event in the North of England, with 50 catwalk shows over six nights across four of the city’s top locations. Now planning is well underway for October 2013. Look out for AsiaEurope fashion day, where designers from around the Far East will be showcasing their talents alongside a special jewellery exhibition.
