The celebrity #tbt you NEED to see...
Eva Mendes is no stranger to a red carpet appearance and has showcased some incredible gowns over the years, but we all have humble beginnings, even this stunning A-list celebrity.
Celebrating the launch of her debut clothing line, Eva took to her Instagram account to share a throwback snap of her first ever red carpet appearance. Wearing a $6 dress, no less.
Captioning the picture from 2001, Eva shares some funny facts about her red carpet prep, explaining the she had no expert help, pulling together hair, make-up and styling herself ' The debut of my latest @nyandcompany collection has me throwing back to my first red carpet. I did my own hair and make up and that's a $6 dress from Goodwill. I've always loved a cheap find. Viva thrift shops! #tbt'.
Clearly the lack of professional help is a thing of the past for this Hollywood beauty, seen these days looking perfectly pulled together by a string of professionals, no doubt lining up for the chance to work with the new mother of one.
And this isn't the first time the new mother has spoken honestly about the work that goes into her flawless look, on her first ever shoot since giving birth, Eva explains 'You're helped in those situations, I want women at home to know, you're lit, you're angled, so yes, it was a few months after the baby, but with a lot of help'.
There is nothing we love more than a celebrity #tbt, or indeed a beautiful woman being completely honest about what really goes on behind-the-scenes, and if it's even possible, we think this has made us love Miss Mendes even more.
