Zooey Deschanel has roped in her fair share of stars to appear on New Girl, but the latest celeb name is pretty incredible.
Just when we thought Taylor Swift’s appearance was the best news we’d ever heard, Prince has gone and got himself linked to the American sitcom.
According to Idolator, the Purple Rain singer actually got in touch with the show's producers to ask if he could appear in the series.
Pitching his ‘all night pyjama party’ idea to the New Girl team, Prince is now set to appear on the Superbowl Sunday episode on 2 Febuary, 2014, appearing as himself.
And just like that, PRINCE is set to be on NEW GIRL.
As if that wasn’t enough, Prince will arrive to meddle with lovebirds Jess and Nick as he makes his cameo.
Creators Fox have yet to comment but Hannah Simone, who plays CeCe, sent the rumour mill into overdrive by tweeting: ‘Big Deal Alert! Exciting news coming tomorrow…’ - which was then retweeted by Prince’s band, 3RDEYEGIRL.
