  • The singer has denied she has an eating problem, insisting she's fighting fit and will come back better than ever during this weekend's live shows

X Factor favourite Cher Lloyd has hit back at critics claiming she is ‘frail’ and has an eating problem, insisting she back to full health and will come out fighting at this weekend’s live shows.

The singer faced criticism over the weekend, when, after a disastrous performance during the ‘judges houses’ stage of the show, was put through by Cheryl Cole ahead of African contestant Gamu Nhengu.

After being branded ‘a risk’ by Cheryl, Cher has dismissed claims she’ll drop out of the show, slamming ‘evil’ critics and who’ve cast doubt over her weight.

Despite her tiny frame, she insists she’s still eating, and has chicken restaurant Nando’s ‘on speed dial’.

‘I am eating. There is no problem. Of course I am eating I wouldn’t be able to perform if I wasn’t,’ she told The Metro.

But she did admit that frustration got to her during the show last weekend, when she could hardly sing, and ended up in tears.

‘At judge’s houses it wasn’t the pressure that was affecting me it was frustration. I knew I could smash that song, she said.

‘Off stage I am very nervous but as soon I as I get on stage then it is different. I will be fine.’
