Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s baby son Kai enjoyed his first football outing yesterday, joining Wayne on the pitch for some post-match celebration.

After spending the game watching from the safety of the sidelines with mum Coleen, Kai made his debut on the field as the match came to a close.

Wearing a tiny football shirt emblazoned with the word ‘Daddy’, the super-cute tot giggled and waved as proud dad Wayne turned to the crowd.

And Wayne – who was celebrating with his club Manchester United, who won 4-0 over Stoke at the match – was happy to talk about how little baby Kai had altered his life.

‘It’s been a life changing experience,’ he said.

‘Becoming a dad means you have to be a role model for your son and be someone he can look up to.’

‘I don’t think it has changed me as the person I am but it has just added something different to my life in a great way. It’s different and hard work, but a great feeling,‘ he told reporters.

‘Now I have someone to look after and I just want to be with Kai and Coleen as much as possible.
