Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise made a surprise visit to a UK curry house with daughter Isabella this week but was left red-faced after he was told his American Express credit card would not be accepted.
Tom Cruise surprised local diners when he turned up for a meal at Veer Dhara Indian restaurant in St Albans with his entourage and daughter Isabelle, 19.

But when it came to settling the £220.85 bill, the actor, who is filming All You Need Is Kill at nearby Leavesden Studios with Emily Blunt, was left embarrassed after he was told he could not pay on his American Express card.
Luckily for Cruise a member of his team stepped up and settled the bill, leaving a generous £80 tip.
The star warned staff that he was 'really hungry' and ordered two chicken tikka masalas, two lamb dishes, along with rice and bread sides.
