Are we about to have a hot new couple alert on our hands? The Hollywood rumour mill has gone into overdrive over the last few days, amid reports country singer Taylor Swift is dating heartthrob actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
The unlikely pair were spotted out and about together several times over the weekend, and looked a little too close for comfort, according to onlookers.
On Saturday, Jake and Taylor snuck in to watch a broadcast of Saturday Night Live – hosted by Taylor’s pal Emma Stone - in Manhatten, and even popped backstage after the show.
‘They showed up together,’ one insider told US magazine, People.
‘They walked around together backstage, but they were careful not to be seen too close. It was hard to tell if they were together, but everyone was shocked that she brought him.’
And as if their Saturday night outing wasn’t enough, the pair met up again the following day, and were spied enjoying an NYC brunch with one other couple, before popping out for a stroll.
Reps for the pair have so far refused to comment on romance reports, but Taylor – who has dated Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas in the past - has already revealed she’s looking for Mr Right.
‘I love going on dates and getting to know people,’ she said in a recent interview.
‘Right now the most attractive quality in a guy is a sense of adventure and romance. I'd love to meet someone who would do thoughtful things throughout the relationship to remind me that he was listening to me, knows me and wants to surprise me.’
