Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens is less than a month away, and here at Marie Claire HQ, we may be getting a little Star Wars fever. But we're not the only ones. Saturday Night Live got into the Star Wars spirit this weekend, and reeled off some never-before-seen audition tapes from the latest film...
With an introduction from director JJ Abrams, the hilarious sketch was an opportunity for the SNL cast to whip out some killer celeb impressions, but it was the A-listers that really made us giggle.
Emma Stone made a surprise appearance, dressed up as Daisy Ridley's Rey, (who else really wants that costume?) and poking fun at her Aloha casting controversy. Mad Men's handsome Jon Hamm meanwhile makes a much appreciated Han Solo joke, cleverly referring himself as 'Hamm Solo' in honour of Harrison Ford.

Featuring cameos from the new stars themselves, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega got in on the fun too, with Boyega even referencing the outrageous up-roar that his casting as a 'black stormtrooper' initially garnered when his appointment to the role was announced.

And although the audition tapes were obviously fake, we can't help but wonder what Star Wars would look like with David Beckham and newlywed Sofia Vergara as the leads. Dare to dream right?
But at Marie Claire HQ, our favourites has to be a tie between Bobby Moynihan's excellent George Lucas jedi mind trick - 'I find your lack of Coke Zero disturbing' - to Jay Pharoah's take on Chris Tucker's camp Ruby Rhod character in The Fifth Element (honestly, that movie is GOLD).
