The media mogul is giving the show an almighty shakeup, and hopes to draw a line under last week's events
After one of the most controversial weeks in X Factor history, it’s thought Simon Cowell’s keen to draw a line under the scandalous events, and is planning a shock double eviction during this Sunday’s show.
In a bid to distract viewers from the recent fixing debate – in which host Dermot O’Leary claimed Cheryl’s no vote last week was pre-planned – Simon’s shake up could see not one, but two contestants leave the competition on Sunday.
It’s thought the dramatic double eviction will follow a similar format to those in the earlier stages of the competition, with the act with the lowest votes being axed immediately, and the second two being forced to battle it out during a sing off.
Last week Katie Waissel was in the bottom two for the second week running, with many claiming her luck might be about to run out for good.
But earlier this week the surly singer found an unlikely celebrity fan in the form of Back to Black warbler, Amy Winehouse.
Sneaking out of the X Factor house for a cheeky evening out, it’s thought Katie hit Camden celeb haunt the Hawley Arms and bumped into the reformed singer.
‘It was like a meeting of minds…Amy wandered over to Katie and said hello and good luck,’ one onlooker revealed. ‘Amy’s a massive X Factor fan and both girls go to the same pub, the Hawley Arms, in Camden.’
Just yesterday, all the acts let their hair down, braving the wind and rain to hit the Harry Potter red carpet.
