Balthazar Getty admits: 'My wife and I have separated'
Balthazar Getty, the man who has been pictured smooching on a yacht with Sienna Miller, has finally publicly admitted that he has split from his wife.
The oil heir and Brothers and Sisters actor has released a statement after pictures of him and a topless Sienna canoodling unashamedly on a boat off the Amalfi coast were printed in papers and posted on the internet.
He said: 'The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved. In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further.'
A friend told People magazine that Getty's wife is devastated by the public affair. 'It's humiliating,' the pal said. 'Rosetta left the country to protect the kids, and he continues to see Sienna publicly.'
One source also told Perez Hilton that Balthazar was not separated when he first started seeing Sienna, adding: 'Rosetta is heartbroken. She has an 8-month-old baby! And three other kids with Balthazar.'
