We’re happy to admit we were rather excited when we heard Twilight beauty Kristen Stewart had landed the lead in a Hollywood version of Snow White. And now (Robert Pattinson, step aside) the part of Kristen’s Prince Charming has finally been cast, and rising star Sam Claflin will play the part.

Everyone from Tom Hardy to Johnny Depp and Kristen's On the Road co-star Viggo Mortenson have been linked to the part, after Universal unveiled plans for the movie earlier this year.
But now it’s been confirmed Hollywood newcomer Sam will step into the role opposite K-Stew in the Rupert Sanders-directed flick, titled Snow White and the Huntsman.
Fresh from the Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides set, the Brit born star also starred in UK TV hit Any Human Heart last year and is tipped for great success in Hollywood.
So could Robert Pattinson have some competition on his hands?

Oscar-winner Charlize Theron has been confirmed as another star in the movie remake, and will take the role of the Evil Queen Ravenna in the flick.
