Cheeky Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed he managed to convince people in the US that he was a member of the royal family and friend of Prince William – and they believed him, all because of his English accent.

During last week’s Graham Norton interview, Rob told how he regaled LA acting pals of tales of studying with the recently married young royal at renowned acting school, RADA.
Now we’re not sure exactly who thought William actually did go to acting college, but according to Rob, everyone believed him.
‘When I first came to L.A., it was very easy to convince people I was a member of the royal family,’ R-Patz joked during his interview to promote new flick Water for Elephants.
‘I hadn't worked for three years - I was unemployed in London -- and when people asked what I'd been doing, I told people I went to RADA [Royal Academy of Dramatic Art] with Prince William.
‘People would think, "You're English, I completely believe you!”’ he added.
