Robert Pattinson has dissed his die-hard followers in a candid new interview, admitting that 'sometimes I ask myself what these people do all day.'
The brooding actor has opened up in the latest edition of German Interview magazine, revealing that he himself doesn't understand the obsession with Twilight that made him and co-star Kristen Stewart - along with their alter-egos Edward and Bella - global obsessions.
'The real odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren’t really teenagers,' he told the mag, according to In Touch Weekly.
'Most of them are older. Twilight has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has never existed before.'
'Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight.'
The actor also raged at the 'fat celebrity blogger' who came up with the moniker R-Patz, revealing that he'd like to 'strangle the guy who came up with it!'
Twilight fans shouldn't feel too bad about Rob's latest confession; after all, one hardcore fan - E.L. James, ever heard of her? - turned her obsession with the films and books into one of the biggest literary sensations. EVER.
