Robert Pattinson reveals his dating tips source - dad!

R-Patz revealed that his dad is always on hand to dish out invaluable advice on how to charm women

Robert Pattinson clearly has a lot to thank his dad for - he claims Richard Pattinson is his favourite source for invaluable dating tips.

The Twilight leading man - who's reportedly dating co-star Kristen Stewart - shared his favourite fatherly advice with Jay Leno, while appearing on the presenter's eponymous chat show.

Pointing out his parents, watching proudly from the audience, R-Patz said: 'I hope this doesn't embarrass him but my Dad loves sending me emails which I love getting.' 

He went on to read out an email: 'Dear Rob, I've been thinking about gestures and a good one in my opinion is to kiss a lady's hand. It's very romantic and refined. Offer a hand ostensibly to shake and then the kiss - I impressed your mother that way.'

But it's not just dating advice that Mr Patz has been dishing out - Rob read out a second message offering tips on debonair behaviour: 'Dear Rob, I was thinking last night about Yves Montand the great French actor. And I thought about his elegant way of acknowledging the audience at an Oscar ceremony by gripping his wrist with one hand and raising both arms aloft and how he was applauded for this gesture.

'I know I've mentioned it before but the reason I was thinking about it was because I was watching a programme last night about some current celebrities here and I was shocked by how vulgar they were,' the email concluded.

So now we know the source of that signature Pattinson charm...!
